LEADERSHIP CAMPS

Teach children how to be effective leaders

Some people are born leaders; they have charisma and an aura of confidence and self-assurance which draws people to them. Many others, however, lack confidence, due to fear, insecurities or shyness. At the leadership camp, children will learn how to come out of their shell, express themselves with confidence and assert themselves with poise, making them into better leaders.

Provide a platform to try new things

Leadership camp takes children out of their comfort zone and exposes them to new activities and experiences that they may otherwise have never tried on their own. By exploring these different types of activities, children have a greater chance of finding what they excel at and what brings them satisfaction and happiness.

Promote positive relationships with their peers

Our social skills develop as we grow which means that time spent with our peers enhances our skills and teaches us valuable lessons. Children learn about social norms, manners, and how to communicate well and work as a team.

Encourage better bonding with adults

A leadership camp - or any kind of camp for that matter – augments the influence of trustworthy adults in kids’ lives, which can help counter the effects of anything adverse the child may be experiencing.

Help children face challenges and learn the value of hard work

As they feel safe, young children will be comfortable taking healthy risks and setting personal goals in order to realize their dreams. At camp, children learn the correlation between working hard to accomplish what they want and to never give up – while in a stress-free and tranquil setting.

Teach time management skills

At the student leadership camp, participants learn to plan ahead and estimate the time required to complete a task; improving their planning and organisation skills.

Build strong character

Character building is a vital aspect in anyone’s life. In addition to making new friends, campers also develop an appreciation for the qualities required to cultivate and strengthen these relationships. The camp instils in children the core values of strong and moral individuals, by teaching them about ethics, honesty, respect and responsibility. Parents frequently report that after camp, their children are more considerate, understand the importance of giving, are more equipped to stand up for what they know is right, and are willing to be more responsible.
